2. Typog. Encylo. Poster C1
a. This is the page that makes this semester's book different from all the other typography books produced in this class.Spend some time on this. Your design will appear in other designer's books.
b.Go to this Poster for directions.
c. Bring two 11" x 17" layouts to class.
d. Go to Poster and Appendix for grading criteria.

3. Printing out
a. Start printing out select pages of your book to be sure there will be no surprises.

b. I have confirmed with Franklyn that you MAY use fonts outside of the Shared Fonts Folder.

1) This does not mean yes to bootlegged fonts. Bootlegged fonts frequently disable parts of a print out.

2) You must outline the fonts in your application. You should not outline anything smaller than 12 point type, or it changes the visual weight of the font when it is printed.

3) Test your type in your document and then when it is saved as a pdf.

4) Bring a folder to school with the font in it.

a. Title,TOC and Introduction Peer Review
b. Be sure to make all your revisions count.
c. Title may be a spread or single page, TOC must be a spread or single page, the Introduction may be one page or a spread.
d. Each item should be included in one PDF that has three pages. The PDF should be labeled:
09f_IT_3TitleLastname.pdf

2. Appendix and Typographic Poster C2
a. Revise Appendix layouts from two weeks ago. Show a spread that may have one, two or four typographic categories.
b. Your Poster must fit an 11"X17"  page and use typography in the style of the directions given in class #9 - Poster . You may use art.
c. You must bring two posters, one for each typographic essay that you were responsible for to class. We will evaluate the poster of your choice but will critique both during class.
d. You must be able to identify the fonts you work with.
e. Be sure to read the grading criteria for the Poster and Appendix Critique.
f. Make last minute revisions in class, save, convert to a PDF, label with:
079f_IT_PosterLastName.pdf
and place in the folder labeled: 09f_IT_PosterLastname
g. Place in class projects Drop Box, I will post the Poster files in the class access area the next day.
