Spring Break update Solutions for the midterm supplement are done.
March 21, 2013 We'll cover finish chapter 8.3 today, and begin 8.4. There is a new homework assignment, due the Thursday after spring break. Also, please remember that there will be a quiz in class on Tuesday, April 2, covering up to the material covered in this class, meaning the beginning of 8.4.

There is an explanation of point eligibility on the document itself; it is due without exception by class time on Thursday, March 21. After that we'll begin to cover chapter 8.3 on trig substitution. |
March 12, 2013 Midterm review in class. See below for the solutions to the review.
March 7, 2013 Continue with chapter 8.2 on trigonometric integrals. Note: the midterm exam is next Thursday, March 14. Tuesday's class will be devoted mostly to review for the midterm, during which we will go over as much as possible from the review attached below, as well as any other questions you may have. |
March 5, 2013 Finished covering 8.1, integration by parts, and began 8.2, trigonometric integrals. |
Feb. 28, 2013 Finish chapter 7.2, and begin chapter 8.1, integration by parts. (Note this means that we are not covering 7.3 on hyperbolic functions.) |

Feb. 5, 2013 In class we finished covering chapter 5.6 and covered area by cross-section, and area by disk, both from chapter 6.1. I also collected homework 1, the solutions to which are linked below.
Jan. 29, 2013 The first day of class will be spent covering (or reviewing, depending on your perspective) some of the important techniques from the end of Calculus I, including the fundamental theorem of calculus, Riemann sums, and integration by substitution. For a good perspective on the way the course will run, including links to old quizzes and exams, see the course webpage from the fall 2012 semester here.
