Lesson Seven assignments

    • Review press release assignments from previous weeks ("From the Heart," "Evita" and "Natgo") in light of comments and the Associated Press Stylebook requirements. Do any rewrites that you want me to edit, to help you perfect these releases. You may email them to me at any time. They are not actually due at any time, other than in your final portfolio at the end of the term.

due Tuesday, April 10, after Spring Break

    • Text: read Chapter 6

    • No other assignment... This is a good time to review the work you've done to date -- the press releases for "From the Heart", and " Evita", and "Natgo" -- especially with regard to

        (a) format,
        (b) the importance of a good lead, and
        (c) the Message Planner details (that is, your pre-writing).

You should look at each piece you've written and find ways to improve each one in light of classroom comments and the Associated Press Stylebook requirements. Do any rewrites that you want me to edit, to help you perfect these releases. You may email them to me at any time. They are not actually due for Class 8 -- now that the original assignment due dates are past, the only other time they're actually due is in your final portfolio at the end of the term.
