An evening of art and entertainment, featuring live music and performances,complimentary hors d'oeuvres, and exhibition viewing.

On Thursday, September 28, from 6 to 9 pm, the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs presents the second installation of @rtNight, an evening of art and entertainment, held in the exhibition galleries and Sidney R. Yates Gallery at the Chicago Cultural Center, 77 East Randolph Street. The event, which is also the official kick-off party for Chicago Artists Month 2006, offers guests an after hours look at the current exhibitions and installations of Chicago-based artists DZINE, photographer Jonas Dovydenas, and sculptor Paul Kass.
Dozens of artists participating in Chicago Artists Month are expected to attend the event, along with a who's who of the Chicago art scene. Special ambient happenings, curated by Anni Holm and Mathew Wilson and performed by Chicago-area performance artists, will occur at unexpected times in unexpected places throughout the event. The evening also includes live DJ music, dancing, complimentary hors d'oeuvres, and a cash bar provided by the Goose Island Brewery.

@rtNight benefits the Chicago Cultural Center Foundation, which supports the hundreds of public programs and visual art exhibitions presented annually at the Chicago Cultural Center at no cost to the public.
